Working papers on the conditions under which technology ventures create durable enterprise value.
A thesis of durable enterprise value from conjunction and value compression, developed from three case studies
Jan Mohr
Durable value arises where a new capability, a field with urgent demand and a moat against imitation come together. It is created for the customer through value compression: many dispersed frictions replaced by one reliable outcome that the customer receives and perceives. Compression succeeds where standardization is absent – in hospital storerooms, under water and in social care, not in retail or aviation.
