Static website: no cookies, no analytics or tracking services, no fonts, maps or other third-party content. The only form is the contact form described below. There is no profiling and no automated decision-making.
When pages are requested, the web server processes the IP address, time, requested address, status code, amount of data, referrer and browser identifier. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in the secure and uninterrupted operation of the website. The logs are deleted after 14 days and are not combined with other data.
The website runs on a Google Cloud server; the processor is Google Cloud EMEA Limited, Dublin, Ireland. The server is located in Stockholm, Sweden (region europe-north2). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
Processing takes place in the European Union. Access from a third country – for example by support or administration staff of the provider’s sub-processors – cannot be entirely ruled out. In that case, the transfer is based on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, on the adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
If you write to us, we process your details in order to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; Art. 6(1)(b) where a contract is being prepared). The email infrastructure of our domain is operated by united-domains AG, Starnberg, Germany. The data are deleted once the enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply.
Through the form at /en/contact.html we process the details you enter – name, email address and message – in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering enquiries), or Art. 6(1)(b) where a contract is being prepared. Providing the details is voluntary; without them we cannot answer the enquiry. We do not store an IP address with the message.
The message is stored on the server named above and also delivered to our mailbox by email; the recipients are therefore the same processors as for hosting and email. We delete the message and the server copy once the enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply.
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Please contact us at the address above.
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you that is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). This applies here to the server logs. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, datenschutz-hamburg.de.
